Just a suggestion that might or might not add to the comic: Have you considered intermingling some photographic elements into the comics. Like the Harrison comic. maybe making the telephone a black and white photo of an old telephone while the rest of the comic is drawn. The reason I suggest this is it will give certain items/situations a weight of reality while the characters (like harrison) are on a totally different, abstract wave-length. i.e. the telephone and harrison are foreign to each other. that might create a a nice ‘struggle’ between the elements and highlight the difference in expectations that the characters and the situations have. just a thought. keep it going buddy.
