I made these some time ago, then I kind of forgot about them and rediscovered them while going through some old folders. Make what you like of these concrete jelly babies. If you want clues think: internet, super organism, and of course…tentacles! ;)

The Prophesy.
Hi there hairy friends and anonymous followers. I’m working hard on a new website and it should be up in less than a few months. This one is quite a long term project and it should be good. Well that’s all I have on my heart, have a good night and don’t forget to close the taps properly. Is that a Piet-My-Vrou I hear in the distance? I’ll be off to the next distraction.
Amsterdam
- Monday morning 06:00 got on the train / four hours later in Amsterdam / dropped my baggage / walked around / went to the Van Gogh Museum which was ridiculously expensive / Walked around for 3 hours / went back to the hostel / Met an American Expat now living in Italy / went for pizza / He taught me how you pronounce every letter in Italian words / which makes so much more sense than French / back to the hostel / everyone there was stoned / no one made sense / zzz / went to the flower market / went to the Red Light District / bought “stroopwafels” / stared at the big church in the middle of the red light district / laughed inside / went to China Town / went to the FOAM museum / drank alot of wine / zzz / went to the Anne Frank house / felt sad / felt disgusted / once again / walked around for I don’t know how many hours / had dinner in Vondel Park / spoke alot of Afrikaans slowly / to an old Dutch lady / met an American guy wearing a turban / he was so American though / got on my nerves / zzz / walked around / went to the Tropen Museum which was amazing / spent all day there until they closed / helped some French tourist ladies to find their way to Leidse Plein / how the tables have turned / Went to a design lecture at Pakhuis de Zwijger innovation centre / zzz / hired a bicycle / cycled all day / found myself outside Amsterdam / it was great / should do it again / note to self: subscribe to Velib once back in Paris / Friday 18:00 back on the train -
And the sun smiled wryly.
Had great fun today at the last stop on Metro line 5 (Bobigny). several people offered to have their photo taken, but alas I could not make a success story out of those shots. Social beings have a catastrophic effect on my photographic capabilities. Had fun talking to them in broken French though. Thought of a friend on my way back, you know who you are. (more…)
